I'd rather be camping

We planned to go camping last weekend, but couldn't find the tent.

It's not for everyone, but I do love a good camp fire! and it wouldn't be

camping for me without the jaffle iron........(sandwich toaster thingy).

nearly every night! and the odd fish here and there.

Sadly Moreton Bay doesn't have as many fish as it used to.

I'm a bit sad, my daughter and I are missing our little

blue budgie so much right now, he got out of the cage

and escaped through the open garage door. His chances

are slim, (we have about 20 cats next door). Our track

record with pets isn't real good I'm afraid.

.........Island Wedding

After Friday's whining and feeling sorry for myself about

being cold and unmotivated, I was unexpectedly rejuvenated

over on Stradbroke Island, about 2hrs slow boat ride across

Morton Bay. It wasn't a surprise or anything, we were going to

a wedding held at the Little Ships club on the Island.

but I didn't expect the weekend to be so relaxing and fun.

The weather was perfect and warm, the wedding was

fun for all of us (they hired a big jumping castle for the kids)

and a huge lolly buffet for dessert. Oh yes caught up with

old friends too!

Didn't go surfing but enjoyed watching.

It was so quite at the beach it was quite

strange, glorious day, perfect beach almost

deserted. Stradbroke is a secret hideaway

in Autumn.

It's that time of year again, it's chilly,

I'm unmotivated and desperate for

a holiday somewhere warm....

                                             it clears soon I'm over it.

Sights and Flavors of Noosa

I love visiting the Noosa Coast, we dropped in and stayed one

night on our way up to see the boat. If you've never been to Noosa,

then you should pay it a visit, only if you love good food, surf, great

beach houses and vibe. Not a fan of the swarms of people that flock

there during the holidays though.

........Trying out Marlin 1

A fun boat with lots of places to hide in. The girl looks
over it in this shot.

The Kids, climbed crawled and played on
every square inch of Marlin 1.

After further research, the Marlin 1 turned out to be not suitable for our needs- something about old engines and not very good fuel efficiency? Stuff that doesn't interest me but anyway obviously important. Any way it wasn't a waste of time going to see the boat, I know now what kind of boat I would like and hopefully when another one comes up for the right price, layout and look I hope all the technical stuff is in working order!

I've had a fantastic time travelling up the coast to Gladstone. The destination wasn't the attraction, ( Gladstone isn't the most hottest holiday destination ). No, the REAL reason we drove all that way, was to see a 50 ft. cruising boat. We've decided to sell the house, buy a boat and do some cruising ( locally for now ). Marlin 1 was just what I hoped it would be and so much more, it ticked all the boxes and we all loved it strait away. I had to contain my excitement, you have to try and keep a poker face when looking at boats to buy. I took heaps of pictures and will post them up as soon as I get home. Hope we don't miss out on this boat, but we're a little way off buying a boat so who knows what might pop up.

Fashion shoot at home

My friend Irene Pollack the founder of Wind and Water, is using my house as I write this, for a fashion shoot for the new catalogue. It's great, I've got to check out her new designs (Tweaked vintage designs) I think  I will have to put in a few orders for myself!

leather belt and bright thongs, it's a fun
dress for the weekend!
