5 Romantic Escapes

Valentines day is around the corner (and my Birthday - 15th Feb),  I thought it would be appropriate to do a post on  5  romantic escapes around the world. (With or without kids in tow).

Number 5 is the amazing open air huts of Shompole, Kenya. Situated on the edge of the Great Rift Valley, and in the middle of one of the most ecologically diverse areas in Africa.
Exploring the African Savanna, sketching and painting the wildlife and landscape has always
been a dream of mine.

Number 4 Tree House Lodge , Costa Rica. Hidden away in total seclusion on a 10 acre beach front property, considered to be the most beautiful in the country. I think that bathroom would have to be the most beautiful in the country too. Images: Anywhere Costa Rica

Number 3 The Caves, Jamaica Poised (I love that word) atop of limestone cliffs in Nigril, West end of Jamaica. Only twelve clifftop accommodations, cave dining, the Blackwell Rum Bar not to mention the Sea Veiw Day Spa. The cave dining would be pretty ambient don't you think?

Number 2 Samode Palace nestled between the hills of Samode Village in Rajusthan, India,
this historical palace is on the list to re-visit. We married at this a-mazing palace six years ago and we would love to go back.......maybe renew our vows?

Number 1 St Regis  Bora Bora Resort and Spa You may have seen this resort it in the movie Couples Retreat, and the only flaw was the touchy feely yoga instructor, but I'm sure
he was just an actor.....(I hope). The Resort sprawls over 44 acres on a secluded Island in Polynesia. St Regis Bora Bora is definitely on my 'bucket list' of places to visit before I die!
